I had a wonderful time taking part in this event in June last year at the Royal Festival Hall, when I sang for the first time as part of the renowned London Voices. Conducted by Robert Ziegler and accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra, we sang Ligeti’s other-worldly music as a live soundtrack to the classic film “2001: A Space Odyssey”. This meant, of course, performing the terrifyingly difficult music of Ligeti for my first gig with LV - not an undertaking to be considered lightly!
It was an epic event that I thoroughly enjoyed, and I’ll never forget sitting just above the Philharmonia as they performed “Also Sprach Zarathustra”!
