Opera-tion Butterfly!

The inaugural performance of 'Operation Butterfly' took place in Ludlow on 21st October 2023!

It was a lovely evening with a warm and receptive audience, and we raised funds for Butterfly Conservation and their vital work in preserving our butterflies and moths in the UK. I am grateful for the support of the following:

Eclectica of Ludlow who supplied my jewellery for the night
Andrew Fusek Peters who donated a signed copy of his book "Butterfly Safari" and a calendar for the raffle.
CJ Wildlife who provided a butterfly house for the raffle
Stokesay Flowers who donated some of their gorgeous flowers to decorate the church

David Gaukroger was on the piano, and together we performed some classics such as Puccini's aria for Madame Butterfly Un bel dì, as well as some of my own songs. My husband Darren also accompanied me on the guitar for a couple of folk songs!

I've set up a GoFundMe page as I would love take the concert format to other venues and music festivals, raising money for wildlife and/or local charities each time. I'd also love to be able to hire a string trio or quartet as I have written string parts for all my songs.
